General Info about Membership
Membership in the Ambulance Corps is open to all persons 15 years of age or older who reside in or are employed in the Borough of Rutherford or in one of the contiguous Bergen County communities.
Squad Membership
Squad Members must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the New Jersey State Department of Health or must be enrolled in an EMT course at the time of application. Squad members are required to dedicate at least 30 hours per month to being part of the ambulance crew.
Auxiliary Membership
Auxiliary membership is available to those employees of the Borough of Rutherford, Rutherford Board of Education and Rutherford Fire Department members who are trained as an EMT or First Responder.
Corps
Membership
Members who assist in the ‘business’ function of the Corps have no specific requirements other than what is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the committees they serve on.
