Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In September we handled 119 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 71 calls and trauma with 25 calls including 15 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 8 calls classified as other and 0 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 15 calls and traveled 203 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 3 calls and traveled 7 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 101 calls and traveled 1176 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 9 occasions and all three ambulances in service at the same time on 1 occasion.

ALS was called 53 times. They treated 27 patients, released 14 patients, were canceled 8 times and were unavailable 3 times.

We visited 8 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 67 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 11 visits.

Our members spent 291.1 hours in the ambulances. We treated 70 residents and 43 non-residents. We responded to 5 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst and 0 in East Rutherford.
