Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In October we handled 117 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 79 calls and trauma with 16 calls including 13 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 5 calls classified as other and 4 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 78 calls and traveled 915 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 3 calls and traveled 25 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 36 calls and traveled 400 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 5 occasions and all three ambulances in service at the same time on 0 occasions.

ALS was called 52 times. They treated 20 patients, released 16 patients, were canceled 15 times and were unavailable 1 time.

We visited 6 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 58 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 15 visits.

Our members spent 229.9 hours in the ambulances. We treated 75 residents and 34 non-residents. We responded to 6 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst and 1 in East Rutherford
