Captain's Report - November 2011

In November we handled 106 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 68 calls and trauma with 24 calls including 13 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 5 calls classified as other and 0 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 83 calls and traveled 813 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 6 calls and traveled 50 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 17 calls and traveled 178 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 8 occasions and all three ambulances in service at the same time on 0 occasions.

ALS was called 47 times. They treated 19 patients, released 7 patients, were canceled 17 times and were unavailable 4 times.

We visited 8 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 44 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 17 visits.

Our members spent 177.23 hours in the ambulances. We treated 72 residents and 31 non-residents. We responded to 7 mutual aid
calls in Lyndhurst, 1 in East Rutherford, 1 in Carlstadt and 1 in Hackensack.
