Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In May we handled 98 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 67 calls and trauma with 19 calls including 11 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 1 call classified as other and 0 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 70 calls and traveled 849 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 11 calls and traveled 108 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 17 calls and traveled 156 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 4 occasions.

ALS was called 48 times. They treated 22 patients, released 12 patients, were canceled 13 times and were unavailable once.

We visited 5 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 41 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 14.

Our members spent 172.2 hours in the ambulances. We treated 67 residents and 28 non-residents. We responded to 5 mutual aid calls
in Lyndhurst.
