Captain's Report - March 2011
In March we handled 114 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 76 calls and trauma with 24 calls including 11 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 1 call classified as other and 2 as fire.
Ambulance BLS1 handled 36 calls and traveled 391 miles. Ambulance BLS2 handled 27 calls and traveled 332 miles. Ambulance BLS3 handled 51 calls and traveled 508 miles. We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 10 occasions.
ALS was called 49 times. They treated 22 patients, released 15 patients, were canceled 11 times and were unavailable once
We visited 5 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 61 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 17.
Our members spent 172.2 hours in the ambulances. We treated 85 residents and 29 non-residents. We responded to 7 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst
