Captain's Report - June 2011
In June we handled 97 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 56 calls and trauma with 26 calls including 10 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 4 calls classified as other and 1 as fire.
Ambulance BLS1 handled 31 calls and traveled 373 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 14 calls and traveled 145 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 52 calls and traveled 537 miles.
We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 5 occasions.
ALS was called 47 times. They treated 19 patients, released 7 patients, were canceled 18 times and were unavailable 3 times. We visited 5 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 53 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 9.
Our members spent 193.6 hours in the ambulances. We treated 64 residents and 23 non-residents. We responded to 4 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst
