Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In July we handled 109 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 64 calls and trauma with 30 calls including 13 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 0 calls classified as other and 1 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 33 calls and traveled 357 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 3 calls and traveled 27 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 73 calls and traveled 698 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 4 occasions.

ALS was called 45 times. They treated 21 patients, released 11 patients, were canceled 12 times and were unavailable 1 time.

We visited 5 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 56 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 20.

Our members spent 196.5 hours in the ambulances. We treated 81 residents and 25 non-residents. We responded to 6 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst
