Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In December we handled 126 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 84 calls and trauma with 23 calls including 17 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 0 calls classified as other and 3 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 52 calls and traveled 614 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 10 calls and traveled 84 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 64 calls and traveled 672 miles.

We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 7 occasions and all three ambulances in service at the same time on 1 occasion.

ALS was called 51 times. They treated 22 patients, released 11 patients, were canceled 17 times and were unavailable once.

We visited 8 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 56 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 27 visits.

Our members spent 229.12 hours in the ambulances. We treated 84 residents and 41 non-residents. We responded to 5 mutual aid
calls in Lyndhurst and 0 in East Rutherford
