Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps

In August we handled 89 calls. The calls were classified as medical with 55 calls and trauma with 13 calls including 18 motor vehicle accidents. We handled 0 call classified as other and 1 as fire.

Ambulance BLS1 handled 39 calls and traveled 430 miles.
Ambulance BLS2 handled 1 calls and traveled 14 miles.
Ambulance BLS3 handled 49 calls and traveled 550 miles.
We had two ambulances in service at the same time on 3 occasions.

ALS was called 39 times. They treated 18 patients, released 11 patients, were canceled 10 times and were unavailable zero times.

We visited 5 different hospitals. Hackensack led with 44 visits followed by St. Mary’s with 15.

Our members spent 1567.47 hours in the ambulances. We treated 57 residents and 29 non-residents. We responded to 4 mutual aid calls in Lyndhurst and 2 in East Rutherford
